MGW has leased 37+ acres of land, with the option to purchase, from Woodmere Nurseries Ltd. The 27,200 sq. ft. cannabis production facility is near completion. This facility aims to produce high quality, pesticide free cannabis and cannabis derived products utilizing biodynamic technology.
MGW intends to purchase the entire 80 acres of land from Woodmere Nurseries. This purchase includes 52 completed greenhouses and provides expansion capacity up to 500,000 sq. ft.
Phase I production is projected up to 5,000 kgs of dried marijuana or equivalent.
MGW has contracted Calgary-based, MMP Management Inc., for project management, procurement, & engineering and construction of the facility.
Rethinking Construction has provided RC’s Canna-Shield™ system, which offers a factory manufactured panelized building solution using Canadian Construction Materials Centre (“CCMC”) certified magnesium oxide (“MgO”) board. The Canna-Shield™ product offers fire, water, mold, impact, and insect resistance, ideal for the cannabis industry.
Using the factory manufactured panels, combined with the Rethinking system, construction times may be reduced by up to 80% as compared to traditional construction methodologies.
Maple Leaf is currently in “Active Review” status with the ACMPR.
